Taking a stroll from the Emerald Hill Conservation Area, we were soon enveloped by the surrounding greens that seemed to teleport us miles away from the busy Orchard Road that we came from. This little-known nabe resembles parts of Tiong Bahru, Tanjong Katong or Spottiswoode, those eye-catchy conservation houses cladded in traditional and non-uniform exterior structures bring us vivid images of the old and new island city. We were still wondering how the busy Orchard traffic can be so successfully insulated in this neighbourhood - a priceless characteristics that appeals to appetites of investors who desire super prime location but also expect exclusivity, privacy and serenity. We all know both parameters do not usually go hand in hand, but Saunders Road do.

Saunders Road houses 2 architectural styles of terrace houses. The conservative Peranakan houses that were built between 1901 to 1925 and those urban-designed houses that are lined up to the cul-de-sac. Pouched parking areas are available for the latter, giving the whole stretch of road a relaxing splash of green.
