3D Virtual Property Expo 2020: A gathering of thousands of home buyers, property investors


MOGUL.sg, Singapore’s smartest property portal held its first-ever 3D Virtual Property Expo from 15 to 17 October 2020. It showcased more than 21 newly launched condominiums and commercial projects and featured the Singapore Land Authority (SLA)’s OneMap3D Beta, with the aim of assisting home buyers with their property search and decision-making process.


Local developers taking part in the 3-day virtual event include prominent local property companies – CapitaLand, Far East Organization, GuocoLand and Keppel Land. Amongst the many properties exhibited included prestigious projects like Martin Modern, Wallich Residences, Midtown Bay, Meyer Mansion, Corals at Keppel Bay and many others. Also displayed were overseas properties like The Four Seasons in San Francisco, the Sail Residences and the Seasons Residences in Manila and Axis in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The first-ever 3D Virtual Property Expo drew an estimated total number of more than 41,000 visitors around the globe. More than half came from China, 21% from the Philippines, 20% were from Singapore, 8% are from other territories such as Malaysia, Indonesia, United States, India, Thailand, Hong Kong and Japan. Visitors were also able to speak directly to property developers and/or exhibitors via Live Chat, and even reserve their dream home.


The Expo allowed potential buyers to experience the properties and their surrounding environment via three-dimensional walk-throughs, even before they are built. They can take a tour of the neighbourhood and discover nearby amenities and facilities, allowing them to gain prospective whether the properties showcased suit their lifestyles and priorities.


Visitors also had the first look at the SLA’s unique 3D mapping feature which enables home buyers to look outward from within each property to appreciate the virtual view and outward facing line of sight, from any floor in the building.

Also on display were Maybank and Mortgage Master, providing loans and financing solutions. Enhancing the sophisticated lifestyle was Beam Suntory, displaying their range of exquisite Japanese whiskies and other spirits. Visitors to the Beam Suntory booth were also able to enjoy a very special promotion offered.


In addition to viewing the properties, visitors were also able to watch the Property Talk Show hosted by MoneyFM 89.3 Radio DJ Michelle Martin. Esteemed speakers at the Expo include: Richard G Baumert, Principal at 706 Mission Street Co., LLC (Four Seasons San Francisco); David Baey CEO of Mortgage Master; Melvin Lim, Co-Founder of PropertyLimBrothers; Karamjit Singh, CEO of Showsuite Consultancy; Willi Ching, Founder & Head of Huttons Landed Division; Professor Sing Tien Foo, Director of Institute of Real Estate and Urban Studies at NUS, and many more.

These speakers touched on a wide range of topics to help home buyers better their understanding in property investments. This include technology’s role in changing the Real Estate Ecosystem, or how investors can get more savings through Structured Financing.


There are tips given as to how home sellers can creatively market their properties, and what are the legal considerations for Virtual Property Marketing.

The event was widely reported with more than 26 local and international media outlets, both traditional and digital media covering the event. Amongst the media companies were Channel News Asia (CAN), Channel 8 News, Yahoo! News, AsiaOne, Lianhe Zaobao, Taiwan News and Tech360.tv.
